Arsenal will host Dinamo Zagreb this Wednesday in a match corresponding to the seventh round of the Champions League, which has introduced a renewed format this year. The match will take place at 5 PM (Argentina time) at the Emirates Stadium in London and will be broadcast live on ESPN and Disney+.
The London team arrives at this match with a record of four wins, one draw, and one loss, currently in a direct qualification zone for the round of 16. Meanwhile, Dinamo Zagreb will present a lineup consisting of Zagorac, Ristovski, Bernauer, Catherine, Pierre, Kacavenda, Rod, Špikić, Baturina, Pjaka, and Kulenović.
The new format of the Champions League includes the participation of 36 teams that will compete in a league phase. During this stage, all teams will face each other in eight different matches, half of them at home and the rest away. At the end of this phase, they will be ranked in a general table where the top eight teams will advance directly to the round of 16, while the teams finishing ninth to twenty-fourth will play a playoff round to determine the last eight qualifiers.
Teams that finish in the 25th position or lower will be eliminated without the possibility to play in the Europa League. In addition to television broadcasts through ESPN and Disney+, the match can be followed on digital platforms like Flow, Directv Go, and Telecentro Play.
For this edition, UEFA introduced significant changes to the tournament, moving away from the previous scheme of 32 teams divided into eight groups of four.
